Using Markers in Logic Express

A great way to keep track of what is happening in your audio production is the use of markers. Marker functionality has been reinstated as of Logic Express 7.1. Markers are notes that appear as text in the bar rulers of Logic Express. At a bare minimum I recommend the use of markers for defining song structure (intro, verse1, bridge, solo, chorus, etc.) However you can go well beyond that perhaps adding notes as to automation you wish to perform at mix down, notes on sections containing audio suitable for looping, and much more.

Here are the basic steps to create markers in Logic Express (see the help file for more info):

1. Option-Command Click on the bottom of the bar ruler where you want to insert the marker.

2. Type in the text of your note, and hit enter. That's it, its that easy.
